Ventana Fine Art - 2 person show
https://www.ventanafineart.com/
Ventana Fine Art announces a two-person show featuring new abstract paintings by Dick Evans and bronze sculptures by Giuseppe Palumbo.
Well-known and widely collected, Santa Fe painter Dick Evans is known for his distinctive approach to abstract expressionism. The vividness of his palette and his use of sharp edges and high contrast yield powerful and unique paintings that can be seen as equal parts landscape and imagination.
Inspired by the oneness/duality dichotomy, by myth and metaphor, Giuseppe interprets his subjects to portray tacit qualities like fierceness, gentleness, mirth, whimsy, and paradox.
Meet Dick Evans and enjoy works by both artists at an opening reception on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. The show runs through October 14, with representation ongoing.

Taos Art Insurgency
Taos Art Insurgency is a show that poses the questions: Who will be the artists that lead the way for the new millennium? What will be the movements and issues they champion? Taos is a major artist's colony that has been at the forefront of all of the modern art movements initiated within the last 120 years. Throughout history various seminal art movements have been concentrated in this sleepy, little, mountain village. Taos has been a major seat of Modernism, Abstract-Expressionism, and Minimalism. David Anthony Fine Art, Wider Nightingale Fine Art, and Greg Moon Art of Taos host this national show in conjunction with the Taos Spring Arts Festival. The show will run April 27th – May 18th with an opening reception on May 4th from 4-8pm
Cato Institute: Freedom, Art as Messenger
For its inaugural exhibition, the Cato Institute is welcoming artists working in any medium to address the concept of FREEDOM: ART AS THE MESSENGER. We are living in an era where people are finding their combative voice but having little conversation or dialogue. The goal of this exhibition is to provide a medium for that conversation.
